When to go to the ER?  Many patients prefer a primary care doctor for care of chronic (long term, persistent) conditions, many common ailments can be treated at a center such as Premium Urgent Care. This guide is designed to provide basic guide for when a person should visit a hospital emergency room.

Go to your local hospital emergency room or call 911 for conditions such as:

  • Intense chest pain and you suspect heart attack
  • Breathing problems
  • Fainting
  • Long term dizziness
  • Severe burns
  • Sudden inability to speak, move or walk
  • Sudden confusion
  • Deep wounds or heavy bleeding
  • Coughing up blood
  • High fever despite taking medicine
  • Inhalation of smoke or toxic fumes
  • Sharp pain in the abdomen
  • Broken bones or loss of movement
  • High fever, stiff neck and headache
  • Trouble breathing or swelling due to allergic reaction
  • Seizures
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Consumption of poison
  • Drug or alcohol overdose

Premium Urgent Care provides comprehensive urgent care services.  This includes services such as minor laceration repair which might require stitches, incision and drainage of minor abscess formations, and toenail removals.  Many of the services we provide are similar to that which are offered by a primary care physician or in a local emergency room.
